Privacy Policy
The short version
- No account, no sign-in, no server of ours.
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no ads, no tracking.
- Your photos, and everything EveryMe computes from them, stay on your iPhone.
- Face detection runs on the device and is used only to align your photos.
- Purchases go through Apple; we never see payment details.
Controller

The app
What is stored on your iPhone
EveryMe stores your photos, the alignments computed from them (where your eyes are in each picture), thumbnails, your settings and your streak in the app’s protected storage on your device. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else; we have no server that could receive it. Deleting the app deletes all of it, except copies you saved to your photo library yourself.
Face detection
To line your photos up, EveryMe uses the image recognition built into iOS to find your face and eyes. This happens only on your device and only for alignment. The data is never used to identify anyone, never used for advertising or any other purpose, and never leaves the device.
Permissions
- Camera: for your daily photo. Pictures are taken only when you press the shutter.
- Notifications: for the daily reminder. The app schedules reminders on the device; there are no push messages from a server.
- Adding to Photos: only when you save a photo or a time-lapse, or turn on “Also save to Photos”. Then EveryMe copies each finished day’s photo to your library.
- Adding earlier photos: through the iOS photo picker. The app receives only the photos you choose and no access to the rest of your library.
Backups by Apple
If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup, iOS includes the app’s data. That is a service of Apple, covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
Purchases
EveryMe Pro is bought through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Apple handles the payment; we receive no payment details and no information about you. The app asks Apple, on the device, whether you own EveryMe Pro so it can unlock export. The legal basis is the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Sharing
When you share a time-lapse, you decide where it goes. The recipient, such as a messenger or social network, has its own privacy policy.
Photos of other people
If you use EveryMe to photograph other people, your children for example, those photos also stay only on your device. We never receive them.
This website
The website runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, under a data processing agreement. To send you the pages, the server processes your IP address and the details your browser sends with each request (time, page, browser). These are written to a technical log that serves only operation and security, is not analysed, and is deleted after 14 days at most. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads no fonts or scripts from other servers.
If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and delete them once the conversation is over unless the law requires us to keep them. Emails are stored with Hetzner Online GmbH (address above), also under a data processing agreement. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns the app, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering questions (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Because the app sends us no data, we hold nothing about your use of it; what the app stores is already with you. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be here with a new date. If a future version of the app collects any data, we will say so clearly beforehand.
